Zamzam Water

Zamzam Water

Zamzam water is considered one of the greatest and most blessed of waters on earth with the Muslims. As mentioned in the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s salah and salam be upon him), "It is blessed, it is food that nourishes, and a cure for illness." Since the time of the founder King ‘Abdul-‘Aziz ibn ‘Abdul-Rahman Al Saud (may Allah have mercy upon him) and until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman ibn ‘Abdil-‘Aziz Al Saud (may Allah preserve him), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made great efforts to serve the guests of Ar-Rahman, including pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors, by providing them with Zamzam water.

Watering Management at the Agency of the Prophet's Mosque Affairs

The Agency of the Prophet's Mosque Affairs has dedicated a Watering Management department that works on regularly analysing Zamzam water in the agency's laboratory, filling containers with both cooled and uncooled Zamzam water, and supervising the cleanliness and distribution points. They also oversee the Zamzam water filling station in the western courtyard designated for individuals and mosques and monitor the cleanliness of the carts used to transport containers.

More than 12,000 Zamzam containers, 30 portable containers, and 1,000,000 cups for drinking are distributed. The number of Zamzam water bottles distributed in the Prophet's Mosque exceeds 50,000 bottles daily, in addition to distributing 800,000 cups at drinking fountains in the outer courtyards.

The Agency of the Prophet's Mosque Affairs is keen to provide the highest quality services to visitors of the Prophet Muhammad's Mosque (may Allah’s salah and salam be upon him), fulfilling the aspirations of the wise leadership (may Allah protect them), to ensure comfort and tranquillity so that the worshipers and visitors can perform their acts of worship with ease and convenience.
