Special Care in Sacred Places

Numerous care activities ensure the sacred landmarks are perfumed to the highest standards:

  • Perfuming the Black Stone: The Black Stone is perfumed with a quarter tola of premium oud oil before each prayer.

  • Perfuming the Multazam and the Yemeni Corner: These areas are perfumed with one tola of amber and rose oil before each prayer.

  • Incensing the Grand Mosque: The mosque is incensed using ground oud and oud chips in manual incense burners, creating a distinctive spiritual atmosphere.

  • Perfuming Visitors at Entrances: Visitors are perfumed at designated mosque entrances using concentrated sprays, avoiding those in ihram.

  • Perfuming Visitors with Amber and Rose Oil: Visitors are perfumed at the mosque entrances with amber and rose oil.

  • Fragrancing the Grand Mosque: The entire mosque is perfumed using aromatic pumps throughout the day.

  • Supervising Diffusers: The operation of diffusers is monitored to ensure even and effective fragrance distribution throughout the Grand Mosque.

These efforts combine to provide visitors with a unique experience that enhances their spirituality and supports their worship in an atmosphere of purity and care.
