Established under the guidance of the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, the exhibition highlights the mosque’s architectural and spiritual features using a blend of modern tools and interactive technologies. It aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enrich the visitor experience and showcase the architectural significance and exceptional services provided at the Prophet’s Mosque.

Exhibition Contents

  • Expansion History: The exhibition features modern technologies and interactive screens that illustrate the various stages of the Prophet’s Mosque expansions, from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) through different Islamic eras to the major Saudi expansions, including the addition of courtyards and service facilities.

  • Documents and Manuscripts: Copies of letters sent by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to kings, along with valuable manuscripts narrating aspects of the Islamic mission’s history.

  • Visual Presentations: 20-minute documentary films that narrate the construction story of the Prophet’s Mosque, explaining its architectural, engineering, and service facilities, such as sound systems, air conditioning, and power stations.

  • Historical Artifacts: A dedicated hall showcasing rare and antique items that represent the mosque’s development over 1,400 years.

Exhibition Objectives

  • Enhancing cultural awareness of the aesthetics of Islamic architecture and the historical care Muslims have devoted to the Prophet’s Mosque.

  • Introducing visitors to the mosque’s landmarks, such as the minbar, mihrab, domes, gates, and minarets, while highlighting services provided to the guests of Ar-Rahman.

  • Opening Hours: Daily from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

  • Booking: Entry tickets can be purchased at sales counters in front of the exhibition.
